Economist and Founder of the Dissident Project


Daniel Di Martino is a Venezuelan-born economist and speaker, known for his advocacy against socialism and his efforts to educate others on the collapse of Venezuela. He holds a BA in Quantitative Economics from Indiana University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at Columbia University. As a fellow at the Manhattan Institute, Daniel focuses on immigration research and frequently speaks at national events. He also founded the Dissident Project, which connects high school students with immigrants who fled oppressive regimes. Daniel will be at LibertyCon, debating alongside Bryan Caplan against a policy of open borders.
