Eric Brakey is the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Free State Project, having recently moved to lead the libertarian mass migration movement after completing his third term in the Maine State Senate. Brakey began in politics as the Maine State Director for the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign and was elected to the Maine Senate two years later. At the age of 26, he became the youngest state senator in the United States and spearheaded many policy victores, including Constitutional Carry, Right to Try, various welfare reforms, and the establishment of the most market-based medical cannabis program in the country. In 2018, Eric Brakey was the Maine Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate and was subsequently named in the Twitter Files as a target for censorship requested by his incumbent opponent, Senator Angus King. In 2020-22, Brakey served as the National Spokesperson for Young Americans for Liberty.
